Tax Increases Imminent By: WA Association of RealtorsAttend Hill Day on January 21st At a press conference December 9, the Governor announced that due to the large budget deficit both budget cuts and tax increases will be necessary in the upcoming session. According to the Governor, \"All taxes are on the table\".
Any increase in real estate taxes, the B&O tax or a sales tax on services would hinder the real estate recovery that is critical to our overall economic well-being.
Washington REALTORS® is monitoring all tax proposals carefully. If there is a proposal that would increase real estate taxes, the B&O tax or a sales tax on services we are prepared to launch a multi-level campaign to oppose such tax increases.
The campaign would include paid radio advertising and statewide mailings along with an aggressive public relations campaign.
